By Erik Chiputula:

Ekwendeni Hammers have been handed a morale boost as they receive K500 thousand from AZIT limited to help prepare for TNM Super League match against Be Forward Wanderers.

The top flight league is set to resume this coming Friday but the Hammers will return into action on Saturday afternoon as they host Be Forward Wanderers.

Ekwendeni Hammers patron Gift Mkandawire has confirmed receiving the financial support from their partners AZIT limited.

Mkandawire said the AZIT boss Matiasi Bonongwe decided to release the package to the club when he heard that they will be hosting giants Be Forward Wanderers.

He further hailed AZIT limited for the support saying in return his team will collect three points on Saturday.

“We are grateful because we needed to prepare for Wanderers and you can only prepare well if you’ve got funds, so when we sent Mr. Bonongwe the fixture he decided to help us with K500 000 for Wanderers game preparations so we are happy and what remains is a win” said Mkandawire

Asked if there’s any possibility for both parties to sign a contract agreement he said “We’ve got alot of expectations, we have been discussing alot, there are alot of things that will be coming in front so we have patient and we are very confident that soon everything will be finalised”

Ekwendeni Hammers secured a sponsorship deal from AZIT limited back in January following their good start of the season but the deal is yet to be completed for unknown reasons.
