Maranatha Academy will honour their top performers , who passed the 2021 Malawi Schools Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations with good grades.
Maranatha Academy Managing Director, Ernest Kaonga said this is to encourage students at their campuses to excel in education.
“This is one way of promoting quality education in the country which was one of government initiatives. As Maranatha we are going to reward top performers in this year’s MSCE,” he said.
“We will recognize and award boys and girls from both our two campuses who have emerged as most outstanding,” he said.
For instance, during this years MSCE, Maranatha emerged top in private schools producing a students with six points by the name of Christopher Francis.
Apart from Christopher, the school has also managed to produced many students with 8 points.
Kawonga said some of the students, who scored with 8 points include,Longwe Jones, Baxter Ganga, Jones Longwe and Kondwani Zapinda.
On Sunday, the school celebrated their remarkable performance by preparing the students banquet with an intention to signify the appreciation of highest academic excellence.
Kawonga also hailed government and Malawi National Examination Board for handling the 2021 Malawi School Leaving Certificate of Education examinations saying they were handled professionaly.
He said they were impressed and urges government to continue using Malawi Defence Force for security during these exams.
” The 2021 exams were handled professionaly and if we continue taking this path we will have a bright future in education,” he said.
He also saluted the State President, Dr Lazarus Chakwera for taking a bold decesion when MSCE exams were leaked.
“He made a good decesion for the exams to be re-written. We say thank you and that’s the only way to go if we want to improve our education,” he said.
