Maduka joins Maritzburg United

Maritzburg United has announced the acquisition of former Malawian player John Maduka as their new head coach.

Maduka resigned from Royal AM last week after enjoying great success for the Shauwn Mkhize’s side last season.

Reports from the Rainbow Nation indicates that the former Royal AM manager was unveiled at a special press conference earlier today.

Maduka has signed a three year contract with the Team of Choice and will start at the Club ahead of the 2022/23 DStv Premiership season.

He will be assisted by Ditheko Mototo who has also been announced today as the assistant coach.

Maduka enjoyed a stellar season at Royal AM and led Shauwn Mkhize’s side to a third-place finish in the League. They also reached the Semi-Final of the Nedbank Cup.

Maritzburg United have been without a coach after they parted ways with Ernst Middendorp.
