After two years of waiting, Blantyre based gospel artist Joseph Chirwa is set to launch the ‘Malawi For Jesus’ album virtually on Mibawa TV on Sunday May 23 this year.
The 13-track album released in 2019 is the second by Joseph Chirwa after he released and launched ‘By My Spirit’ in 2016.
Malawi for Jesus, is according to the artist, a call upon all Malawians to abandon their differences and join hands in declaring Malawi for Jesus.
Chirwa said this launch is special since it will have minimal physical audience upon reserving space at the venue but people will also be able to follow it live on Mibawa Tv.
The artist says the launch is free of charge but the album will be sold on auction during the event.
“In line with the Covid-19 pandemic, numbers attending functions physically are restricted. I am therefore taking this as an opportunity to reach out to a larger audience right in the confort of their homes. Apart from helping the patrons not to subject themselves to the virus, this approach will also help patrons to save on transport costs and also to enjoy the show with their families,” he said.
Chirwa thanked Mibawa television for giving him a platform to launch his album and promised to give fans a great performance.
“Those that will follow the event should expect Holy Ghost Inspired Music, a music that will minister to their inner man. Many thanks to Mibawa TV for according me the platform to minister to the whole world. May God bless them abundantly,” he added.
The event is scheduled to start from 5:30pm to 7pm.
