Hangout Events to announce new festival partnerships

Organizers of the Hangout Festival will soon announce new partnerships and sponsors to this year’s event scheduled to take place at Kabumba Hotel, in Salima from November 5 to 7.

In an interview with The Atlas Malawi, the Festival Coordinator Levison Msakambewa this will be among other new developments which will be unveiled along the way.

“We are doing final touches and surprisingly new ideas keep coming just as also new sponsorship and we are very thankful to a number of firms. Soon will be able to unveil new partnerships and new sponsorship and indeed the whole concept of how the festival will be like apart from music. We have exciting activities,” Said Msakambewa

With Covid 19, Msakambewa said support from the corporate world has been worse but still, the festival will live to its billing.

“Let me thank the few sponsors so far and also those who have already bought the tickets and urge the others to hurry and do the same. Again, we expect to sign some agreements with a couple of sponsors and looking forward to several others to come on board,” he said

Early bird tickets are being sold at K20 000 each and K25 000 at the entrance.

The festival has attracted international artists such as South African Makhadzi and Professor, Tanzanian Harmonize, DJ Obza, Mr Brown, Mapara A Jazz, Anthony Makondetsa, Lulu, Black Missionaries Band, Piksy, Hyphen, Beanca, Lambani Dube and DJ Tawa, among others
