Civo Service United have traveled to Karonga to face Karonga United in the second leg of Airtel Top 8 cup quarter final scheduled for this coming Saturday.
The servants have a 2-0 advantage heading to the return fixture after their win a fortnight ago at Silver Stadium.
Head coach for the Area 9 outfit, Franco Ndawa said his team is well prepared to beat Karonga United and progress to the semifinals of Airtel Top 8.
Ndawa said he told his boys to approach the game like they are trailing as he believes that’s the only way his team get another victory over their opponents.
“The game is not yet over though we have a 2-0 lead on aggregate but we are looking for a victory and I have told my boys to complete the job in the first 45 minutes by scoring earlier” he said
Ndawa further confirmed that all Civo Service United registered players are fit for the task. He therefore called upon Civo United fans to follow the team in Karonga and cheer the boys during the game.
On his part, Karonga United Team Manager, Wilberforce Longwe expressed optimism that his team will overturn the deficit and progress to the next level.
“We have been preparing for this game and all boys are doing fine and they know the importance of winning this game. Our aim is to score three goals and progress to the next round. It’s possible to overturn the results we just need to put much effort and work extra hard” said Longwe.
Ingwina will be without Head coach Dan Dzimkambani who has been absent for the past two weeks but Longwe said that won’t affect the performance of his team”.
The winner between Karonga United and Civo Service United will face the winner of Silver Strikers and TN Stars game.
