Chilima to support Bwaila Rotary Club’s charity golf tourney

The country’s Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima is expected to participate in Bwaila Rotary Club fundraising golf tournament at Lilongwe Golf Club on October 23 to mobilize funds for a dialysis machine and improvement in the children’s ward at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH).

Through the tournament, the Club is targeting to raise about K10 million.

In an interview with The Atlas Malawi, Bwaila Rotary Club President Dr. Richard Dilawo said preparations for the tournament scheduled for next week Saturday are underway.

“Through the tournament, we want to raise funds for education bursaries for the underprivileged through Ndiphunzire Fund, as a club, we are also contributing to purchase a dialysis machine accessories and materials for KCH. Further, we are contributing donations towards Kangaroo ward at KCH and the rotary annual giving and eradication of polio. We are doing this as to make the world a better place. So, everyone can help so that we all make a difference” said Dilawo

He called upon individuals and other stakeholders to contribute towards the cause.

“Those interested can contribute through Bwaila Rotary Club.  Sponsors can support a team of two golfers at K300, 000,” he said
