Blantyre Derby confirmed in Airtel Top 8 Semi Final after a Draw

Nyasa Big Bullets will face Mighty Wanderers in the 2021 Airtel Top 8 Cup Semi Finals after Football Association of Malawi conducted a draw at the half time of their 2-1 win over MAFCO at Chitowe Stadium.

People’s Team sailed through to the semi finals on a 5-2 aggregate after their 3-1 home win a fortnight ago.

Mighty Wanderers booked semi final slot on Saturday after 5-4 shout-out win when their 1-0 win against Moyale Barracks leveled the aggregate.

It will be the third meeting of the season between the Blantyre giants after first round stalemate and a 1-0 win for Mighty Wanderers in the second round, both games in the TNM Super League.

In another semi final fixture, winner between Silver Striker FC and TN Stars will face winner between Civo Service United and Karonga United.

The Bankers took 1-0 first leg lead over TN Stars while Civo Service United have a 2-0 advantage over Karonga United.

The semi final list will be completed next weekend when Silver Strikers travels to Kasungu to face TN Stars while Karonga United will welcome Civo Service United at Karonga Stadium.

The first semi final clash will be played in the weekend of 5th and 6th of December with the last game scheduled for a week later.
