Gama said as a team they feel they have the responsibility to help the underprivileged during this festive season.
“We are proud today to have made this donation to patients in the female ward. We know out there people are celebrating Christmas today and these people don’t have that chance to celebrate as they are in hospital therefore we wanted to bring joy to them and happiness to them”, she said.
One of the patients in the female ward, Maria Tereza Moyo from Chipasula in Lilongwe said the donation by the Victory Queens has lighted up her Christmas whilst she is in hospital.
Moyo, added that the assorted items she has received whilst in hospital will go along way in easing self care as she expects to recover and return home.
“I did not expect this donation and i am very grateful to AFORD party for the wonderful gesture. I would like to thank the Victory Queens for this support and i would like to urge them to do the same to others”, she said.
The Victory Queens is a women organisation under AFORD which was launched in order to help the underprivileged.
